Award-winning Wigan-based theatre company ThickSkin has revealed further tour dates for its premiere of Peak Stuff, which will open with two preview performances at Wigan’s The Edge Arena and also visit Scotland’s Traverse Theatre next March. Peak Stuff sees ThickSkin team up with Manchester writer Billie Collins (BBC’s Malory Towers) for its first national touring production since becoming an ACE "national portfolio" organisation.
Performed by Meg Lewis (PITCH, Edinburgh Fringe 2023), Peak Stuff presents three stories about consumer culture. In an age of retail therapy, climate crisis and click and collect, how does our "stuff" define us? And have we reached peak stuff? The company has even put together a "Peak Stuff" website (link below) to sell the show...
The updated tour dates are: Wigan Edge Arena (February 1-2); Chichester Festival Theatre (February 15-17); Blackpool Grand (February 19); Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield (February 20); The Dukes, Lancaster (February 22) ; Traverse, Edinburgh (March 1-2) and then various south of England dates until March 24.
