Featuring a stage recreation of the story of the walrus who came to visit the seaside town last summer, Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre's Christmas show for young children is Thor's Great Big Adventure (December 12-23).
Aimed at the under-sixes, the show promises songs, silliness and festive fun. The production sees Thor taking off on his holidays – he’s booked a few nights down South before he heads home to the ice and snow of the North Pole – but he’s looking for a good spot on the shore for a quick snooze and a nice seaside snack to fill his big belly – and he’s hoping to make some new friends along the way. Also announced today for the autumn season (through to February) is a string of visiting shows ranging from ADHD The Musical and Hancock's Half Hour to Alfie's First Fight, I Believe In Unicorns and The Pretend Beatles. Tickets for the visiting shows go on sale to theatre members from June 1, and on general sale from June 8.
