Following a critically-acclaimed Greater Manchester Fringe run, Katie Damer's one-woman show Totally Trucked returns to the area for a single performance at Salford's King's Arms (November 20).

Katie is a 23-year-old actress from Manchester whose show follows the true story of how she was handed appalling medical news at the age of 15. Her life was turned upside down when she was hit by a truck – and told she would never walk again.

But her spirit was such that not too many years later she fought back to fitness and has even run a marathon.

Shortlisted for the Shelagh Delaney writing award and nominated for an OffFest award for best short run and best comedy at the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, Totally Trucked is a dark comedy that has audiences laughing one minute and crying the next.

The rollercoaster show is an astounding reminder of human strength and the power of hope and determination.
