The cast has been announced for Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, which heads for the Christmas season at the Manchester Palace this year (November 25-January 3, 2026).

Other northern dates include the Sunderland Empire (March 26-April 5); Liverpool Empire (August 12-23); Sheffield Lyceum (September 9-20); Newcastle Theatre Royal (March 3-14, 2026) and Leeds Grand (March 17-April 4, 2026).

Elle Ma-Kinga N’Zuzi and Jochebel Ohene MacCarthy will share the iconic role of Tina Turner, alongside David King-Yombo as Ike Turner.

Elle Ma-Kinga N’Zuzi has appeared as Tina Turner in the Stuttgart production, and her other theatre credits include Moulin Rouge!, Sweet Charity, Kiss Me, Kate The Lion King and West Side Story. She was awarded the Trophee de la Comedie Musicale for best supporting actress in a musical for her performance as Rizzo in Grease at Theatre Mogador.

Jochebel Ohene MacCarthy appeared as Tina Turner in the original Australian production, and she has also appeared in UK and international tours of Ghost the Musical, The Color Purple, Hairspray and The Lion King. David King-Yombo’s West End credits include Moulin Rouge! and Oklahoma!, and The Visit at the National Theatre. The show tells the story of the 12-time Grammy award winning "Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll", set to a soundtrack of her iconic hits, including The Best, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, Private Dancer and River Deep, Mountain High. It's the true story of a woman who shattered barriers and defied the bounds of age, gender. The show has been running for six years in the West End and there are eight other productions around the world. And a nod to Manchester: It was directed by former Manchester Royal Exchange director, Phyllida Lloyd!
