Thrills under the ocean wave

London's Fat Rascal Theatre and Wildpark Entertainment bring much-admired parody musical Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch, to The Lowry in Salford, September 6-10 (and also to Cast in Doncaster, sep 29-Oct 1) as part of a short tour.

The show that one reviewer suggested, "does to Disney’s The Little Mermaid what Wicked did to The Wizard of Oz - and then some... " sees diva Ursula give her take on what really happened all those years ago under the sea. The comedy features an original pop soundtrack, filthy humour, strong language, partial nudity, scenes of a sexual nature and flashing lights, so will recommend itself to many...

Fresh from sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and around the UK, the cast is led by Elliotte Williams-N’Dure (Sylvia, Jesus Christ Super Star, Hairspray) in the title role, with Miracle Chance (Be More Chill, The Rocky Horror Show, The Wedding Singer) as Ariel.

Writer of the book and lyrics and director Robyn Grant, said: "We’re beyond thrilled to be back after spending the last two years expanding the show, finding our wildly talented new cast and dreaming up what we know this show has the potential to be.”

Recommended for 16-plus.
