The Theatre Royal in St Helens clearly can’t get enough of pantomime: the year will end with its third panto in 12 months!
Panto producer Regal Entertainments has announced the Royal’s Christmas show will be a new panto story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, starring Hollyoaks actor David Tag.
But before that, the theatre will return from October 21-31 to Jack and the Beanstalk for the autumn half-term break. The same show had to be cancelled due to coronavirus earlier in the year, but was still seen and enjoyed online.
Theatre Manager Chantelle Nolan commented: “Audiences are steadily returning and it’s amazing to see how happy our guests are when they take their seats in the auditorium. October is rounded off nicely with the long-awaited return to live pantomime.”
Goldilocks will run from December 10-January 9, 2022 and features several local theatre favourites – who have already been in training for weeks to develop circus skills and stunts for the show.
More information about these and other live shows at the venue here. Note that the theatre adheres quite strictly to coronavirus protocols and asks patrons to wear a mask and ideally take a Covid test for their visit. Full details in the electronic brochure on the website.
