The Full Monty strips again

Danny Hatchard, Jake Quickenden, Bill Ward, Neil Hurst, Ben Onwukwe and Nicholas Prasad will star in the new UK tour of The Full Monty, a co-production between Buxton Opera House and Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.

Northern dates so far announced are Buxton Opera House (September 26-30); Storyhouse Chester (October 10-14); Grand Opera House York (October 17-21); Alhambra Bradford (November 14-18), and Winter Gardens Blackpool (December 5-9).

Gaz and his mates are down on their luck and feel they have been thrown on the scrapheap, but are determined to fight back – and find that taking their clothes off in public can be a nice little earner. Marking the 25th anniversary of the hugely successful film, this new production of Simon Beaufoy's award-winning original stage show is being revived at a time of another cost of living crisis.

Danny Hatchard is probably best known for his role as Lee Carter in EastEnders and Gary in Not Going Out.

Jake Quickenden’s credits include theatre shows Hair, Footloose and Friendsical and The X Factor, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and Dancing On Ice on TV.

Bill Ward is best known as Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street and James Barton Emmerdale.

Neil Hurst’s television credits include All Creatures Great and Small and Coronation Street, and Ben Onwukwe’s credits include The Shawshank Redemption and Black Men Walking, as well as Coronation Street, Law and Order UK and EastEnders.

Nicholas Prasad’s theatre credits include Around the World in 80 Days and The Comedy of Errors with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has been in Doctors and EastEnders.

The show marks the first co-production and partnership between the Everyman and Buxton Opera House, the latter having just become an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
