Smackerels of Winnie the Pooh on stage

A new version of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh will undertake its first UK stage tour next year, with northern dates at Sheffield Lyceum (June 20-22), Manchester Opera House (July 24-26), York Grand Opera House (August 1-2) and Blackpool Grand (August 14-16).

In a new story from the Hundred Acre Wood, the adaptation is told with life-size puppets and a new original score, as well as some of the Grammy award-winning songs written by the Sherman Brothers for the original movie cartoon features.

The production premiered in New York last year, where it broke box office records and received rave reviews.

In the UK the title role will be played by renowned puppeteer and voice actor Jake Bazel, who originated it on Broadway. More info and tickets here
