Liverpool’s Hope Street Theatre has launched its panto Sleeping Beauty, which features Liverpool Live’s Lesley Butler and Aaron Hayes and runs at the city venue from December 16-30.

Sleeping Beauty - the first Liverpool panto produced by Just Entertainment - promises to be the biggest the venue has hosted.

Producer Christopher Jones said: “We are over the moon at how well the show is selling. Some shows are already sold out and others are close. We are sure the show is going to be a huge success.

“We are putting on special relaxed and BSL-signed performances to ensure we can bring the joy of pantomime to as many people as possible.”

Aaron Hayes as Dame Dolly and Brian Comer as Fester the Jester in Sleeping Beauty

Liverpool Live’s Lesley Butler will cast her wicked ways as the evil Carabosse, while her radio breakfast show host Aaron Hayes will be deliciously divine as the hilarious Dame Dolly.

Local performer Lucy Forrester will play the beautiful Princess Aurora and Brian Comer will delight as Fester the Jester. Gabrielle Dams will cast a spell as Fairy Spells, and making his professional panto debut will be Tony George-Owens as Prince Henry.

The company will be joined by an adult ensemble from Liverpool Theatre School and a Junior Ensemble from Performers Theatre School.
