After the success of the Rainbow Monologues in last year’s Liverpool Fringe festival, Grin Theatre - Liverpool's oldest-established LGBTQIA fringe theatre company - brings the sequel to the Royal Court Studio on June 10.
The show features 12 LGBTQ+ monologues that focus on people and stories that affect the entire community, sharing the sense of a common bond and unity within the LGBTQ+ "family", and what it means to be queer.
The monologues are written by queer writers, including artistic director of Grin Theatre Wes Williams, who said: “It’s good to bring the Rainbows back for a second time. The reaction to our first show was overwhelming, so we had to give the show its sequel” The show isn't suitable for under 18s – very strong language and adult themes.
