Pride and Prejudice on summer tour

Bolton Octagon; the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough; Hull Truck Theatre and Theatre by the Lake, Keswick have teamed up with Theatr Clwyd in Mold on a summer touring production of Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
The multi-theatre production will be directed by Octagon artistic director Lotte Wakeham, and opens at Bolton in June (5-28), before visiting Scarborough (July 3-26); Keswick (August 7-September 6); Hull (September 18-October 11) and North Wales (October 15-25).
Leading the cast will be Bridgerton’s Rosa Hesmondhalgh as Elizabeth Bennet and James Sheldon (The Importance of Being Earnest, Gangs of New York, Storyhouse) as Mr Darcy.
The cast also includes Aamira Challenger (Blithe Spirit) as Jane Bennet; Hollyoaks’ Jessica Ellis as Lydia Bennet; Ben Fensome (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Wickham; Joanna Holden (Brassed Off) as Mrs Bennet; Dyfrig Morris (The Comedy of Errors) as Mr Bennet; Eve Pereira (Alice in Wonderland) as Mary Bennet and Kiara Nicole Pillai (The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast) as Charlotte.
Lotte Wakeham said: “I'm a huge Austen fan and I'm delighted to be directing this vibrant, witty and funny production. We have a stellar cast and creative team to bring this iconic story to life.”
