Following a run in London, hit musical Pretty Woman is going out on a UK tour from this autumn
Pretty Woman: The Musical is one of Hollywood's most popular romantic comedies, set in the late 1980s, in which Vivian meets wealthy Edward and her life changes forever.
The musical will star Amber Davies as Vivian Ward, Ore Oduba as Mr Thompson, Oliver Savile as Edward Lewis and Natalie Paris as Kit De Luca.
The show's northern visits run from next January (Liverpool Empire, January 23-February 3), after which you can also see it at Hull New Theatre (February 5-10, 2024); the Grand Opera House, York (February 19-24); Manchester Opera House (March 5-16); Leeds Grand, (May 14-25) and the Sheffield Lyceum (September 23-28)
Amber Davies is currently in London as Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future: The Musical, and has previously appeared in 9 to 5 the Musical and Bring It On.
Ore Oduba most recently played Brad in the West End and UK tour of the 50th anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show. He is probably best known on TV for becoming Strictly Come Dancing champion in 2016. More recently he was in the final of Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins show.
Oliver Savile has played Fiyero in Wicked in London and has been in Falsettos, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and the UK tour of Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Natalie Paris is best known as the original Jane Seymour in the West End production of SIX, for which she was nominated for an Olivier award. She is currently touring North America in the show
Pretty Woman has original music and lyrics by Grammy award-winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, a book by Garry Marshall and the film’s screenwriter JF Lawton, it is directed and choreographed by the two-time Tony award-winner Jerry Mitchell.
And yes, it features Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s international smash hit song, Oh, Pretty Woman!
