Manchester-based collaborative Red Brick Theatre is under the railway arches at 53two in Manchester city centre (September 26-30) with a rare production of Stockport playwright Simon Stephens' Pornography.
Written in response to London crashing from the euphoria of winning the race to host the 2012 Olympics, into the chaos and reality of the 7/7 bombings, the play's six stories serve as a countdown to the catastrophic attack.
This production of Pornography is a mixed-medium performance, using live and pre-recorded media to illustrate eight lives over the week of the London 2012 Olympics announcement, Live 8 and the 7/7 bombings.
Among the cast are Matthew Heywood (The Book Thief, Beryl and Peter Pan at Bolton Octagon) and Isabel Ford (Spring and Port Wine, Octagon, Gangsta Granny, Birmingham Stage Company).
