Welsh theatre makers Francesca Goodridge and Daniel Lloyd have been appointed new interim associate directors at Theatr Clwyd.
The appointments follow the move of previous artistic director Tamara Harvey to join the Royal Shakespeare Company as one of its new artistic co-directors.
Francesca was one of the first recipients of the Carne Traineeship for directors in Wales. Her Theatr Clwyd productions include A Pretty Shitty Love and as associate director for The Famous Five: A New Musical. She also trained on the National Theatre's directors course.
Daniel is a regular performer in Theatr Clwyd pantomimes and was associate director for this year’s Robin Hood, as well as having directed for Rondo Media and Theatr na n’Og. The pair have collaborated on several projects including a new musical currently in development at the venue.
They said: "Having been involved with Theatr Clwyd in a variety of projects and productions over the years we're delighted to be joining as associate directors. It’s a hugely exciting time to join the theatre, when the organisation is embracing new and promising change with its huge capital redevelopment programme and a new artistic director on the horizon."
The pair will focus on supporting and developing the award-winning community outreach work as well as leading on specific projects until a permanent artistic director is appointed.
