Tickets go on sale on November 11 for the UK premiere in Manchester of Broadway musical Mrs Doubtfire, based on the 1993 hit Robin Williams movie.
The musical will run for a month from September 2, 2022 at Manchester’s Opera House.
It tells the familiar story of an out of work actor who loses custody of his children and dresses up as an elderly Scottish nanny to look after them. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for.
Mrs Doubtfire has been created by a transatlantic team of award-winning artists, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, original music and lyrics by Tony-nominated team Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick and direction by four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks
The show's Broadway run opens at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on December 3, having started life with a spectacular run on the other side of the USA in Seattle in 2019, where it broke box office records.
