Mrs Brown rides again

Back on stage for the first time in a decade, Irish comedian Brendan O'Carroll's classic comedy Mrs Brown Rides Again is at Manchester Opera House from August 30-September 2; then Liverpool Empire (September 20-23) and Blackpool Opera House (November 2-4).

Featuring the cast of the TV show, written by and starring O’Carroll as the beloved “Mammy”, the show follows Agnes Brown and her dysfunctional family as they romp their way through what seems to be the Mammy’s last days at home. After hearing a plot by her children to have her put into a home, Agnes decides to prove them wrong by displaying a new lease of life...

The new live tour follows the news that Mrs. Brown’s Boys is set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for a new mini-series.

Voted the number one sitcom of the 21st Century, awards include five BAFTAs, four National Television Awards, three TV Choice Awards, four IFTA awards and three TV Times Awards, as well as RTS, TRIC and National Comedy Awards.

Of the new tour Brendan said: “The pandemic is gone and Mrs. Brown is back. It doesn’t get any better.”
