Leading dancer and actor to star in new Saturday Night Fever


Richard Winsor and Olivia Fines – stars of Saturday Night Fever

Celebrated principal dancer of Matthew Bourne’s Dorian Gray, Edward Scissorhands, Play Without Words and Swan Lake, Richard Winsor, is to star in Saturday Night Fever in Manchester in January (25-29) and on a short tour prior to a West End run.

Richard – best known for playing character Caleb Knight in the BBC’s Casualty until 2017will play Tony Manero – the role made famous in the movie version by John Travolta – alongside Olivia Fines as Manero’s dance partner, Stephanie.

Saturday Night Fever tells the story of Manero’s road to dancing success and features some of the Bee Gees’s biggest hits, including Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, Tragedy and More Than a Woman.

The musical also uses added Bee Gees songs, including Too Much Heaven and Words – and a feature of this Bill Kenwright production will be the on-stage presence of performers Jake Byrom, Oliver Thomson and James Hudson, playing and singing the best-selling Bee Gees soundtrack.
