Community Arts North West (CAN) and HOME Manchester have announced the line up for this year’s Horizons festival, which celebrates the talents of international artists who have made Manchester their home. The festival is part of this year’s Refugee Week, with events on June 16-17.
Horizons features artists from countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Kurdistan, Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe.
Over two days the arts complex will present a programme of spoken word and storytelling, international music, film, visual art, dance, and discussion.
On Friday, the festival opens with storytelling, followed on Saturday by free family-friendly creative workshops in music, dance, performance, visual art and storytelling.
The festival's events are all free or pay what you can.
