Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre is to revive its ill-fated, /hit production of Rent on stage this summer, from August 6-September 19.
The original production, staged as the pandemic started to grip the nation, managed only five performances before the first lockdown forced the show’s closure, followed by a short streamed run online of one of the five shows.
Hope Mill executive director William Whelton, said: “The reaction to the show both critically and with audiences alike was truly overwhelming. But we built this production to be experienced live and there is still a lot of unfinished business with this special show. We hope to bring back as many of the original cast as possible."
Tickets are now on priority sale to previous Rent bookers and go on general sale from 10am on March 19.
