Adapted from The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia, Sir Philip Sidney's 16th-Century pastoral romance - Head Over Heels had its world premiere in this version in San Francisco four years ago. It follows the escapades of a royal family on a journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction, only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies in their hearts. Any parallels with modern day Britain are purely coincidental.
The show includes hit songs We Got the Beat, Our Lips are Sealed, Vacation, Belinda Carlisle’s Heaven is a Place on Earth, and Mad About You.
Director Tom Jackson Greaves said: “We’re so excited to introduce you to the cast, each individual bringing such a glorious breadth of talent, generosity and go-go spirit to the production. Manchester is in for a real treat.”
