See it if you dare: Do You Believe In Ghosts? is a new supernatural thriller devoted to the spectral happenings in theatres and is coming to a venue near you.
Theatres have a reputation for being some of the most haunted buildings around. Sightings of ghosts and various spectral visions have long been reported backstage by terrified actors, with mysterious apparitions that walk the stage at night and corridors and stairwells avoided by staff who have experienced a sudden drop in temperature. The show's producer, James Taylor, said: “Every theatre has at least one ghost: we promise to raise the hairs on your arms and send chills down the back of your neck.”
The show is on a UK tour for most of the year and northern dates include: The Lowry, Salford (May 30); The Sands Centre, Carlisle (June 8); Stockport Plaza (June 15); Burnley Mechanics (June 17); Venue Cymru, Llandudno (June 30); Leeds City Varities (July 1-2); Altrincham Garrick (July 8); Blackpool Grand (September 14); Crewe Lyceum (September 22); Lancaster Grand (October 13) and York Barbican (October 28).
