Genderbent love story

Up-and-coming physical theatre company Talksmall is at Liverpool's Hope Street Theatre (April 15-16) with "genderbent" love story Katherine and Pierre.

Talksmall made its debut in 2019, when northerners Bobbie Twaddle and Ellie Begley met at London's East 15 acting school on the physical theatre course. They now specialise in telling stories through a combination of drag and queerness and energetic choreography. Built around the musical playlist of Katy Perry, for this show they tackle relationship problems that see them ending up in bed together. Ellie started choreographing from a young age and has worked with GymJam, Frantic Assembly and Highly Sprung. Bobbie is a young drag artist with a love of clowning, mime and dance theatre – and a passion for makeup. Bobbie has been working internationally, most recently performing with The David Glass Ensemble. The pair have just moved to Manchester where they hope to leave their mark on the drag scene. Katheriine and Pierre is co-produced by Liverpool-based Tip Tray Theatre, dedicated to the development of up and coming artists. More info and tickets here
