Supported by Manchester City Council and led by expert organisations from across Greater Manchester, Creative Connections, at Contact Manchester (June 13-17), will be a week of free development sessions for youth and arts sector workers.
The sessions will have interest for all types and experiences of worker, and by listening and contributing they will help themselves to provide exceptional creative spaces for young people across the city.
The sessions include: June 13: an energising morning of creative networking for youth and cultural sector workers, led by local community theatre practitioner, Lynsey O’Sullivan.
June 14: Art With Heart equalities workshop: definitions, explanations and action points for general equality. Will provide understanding, new skills and action points on how to put things in place immediately for your organisation.
June 15: Neuro-inclusive youth projects toolkit session: a workshop from Manchester based experts Starling, exploring neuro-inclusive community and youth projects. Discussions focused on adapting delivery to suit different senses and sensitivities, functioning and communication styles). The session will use case studies and practice sharing.
