The global phenomenon that is the Blue Man Group performs its only northern shows in the UK this October, at Salford's Lowry Theatre.
The Bluevolution World Tour arrives October 2-6, with its renowned mix of art, music and comedy featuring the show's signature trio of bald, blue characters offering a packed, interval-free 90 minutes of surprises – which this time around includes new character The Rockstar.
Created in New York in 1991 by friends Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman, Blue Man Group has evolved into one of the world's most successful and recognisable stage shows – one that has reached 50 million people worldwide, picked up countless accolades and awards and appeared at galas including the Royal Variety Performance.
In addition to the three blue men, the current world tour’s Rockstar multi-instrumentalist character replaces the traditional band, complementing the multi-sensory nature of the show.
Co-founder Chris Wink says, “When we first began creating performances centered on this innocent, curious character called Blue Man, we never dreamt where he would lead us. We are so honoured to be able to share our show with the people of the UK and beyond.
"With no language barrier to overcome – the Blue Men don’t speak – fans of all ages, cultures and nationalities can enjoy the experience.”
The show is not recommended for those under three years old. There will be an audio-described performance on October 6 at 1:30pm, after a touch tour at 12.30pm. To book the accessible performance email here.
