Everyman searches for its Rock 'n' Roll panto cast

Liverpool Everyman has made an open call for local actor-musicians to join the theatre's 2022 Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto.

If you’re a strong actor, singer or musician, from or working in the Liverpool City Region, they would love to hear from you. Red Riding Hood opens at the Everyman on November 25 and runs until January 14.

Since it began in the 1980s, the Everyman rock ‘n’ roll panto has been packed with musical hits from a company of talented performers. This year Suba Das, the theatre's new creative director, will direct Red Riding Hood, written by Peter Rowe, the former Everyman artistic director and writer of numerous rock 'n' roll pantos.

Suba said: "We want to find new ways to reach out to talented people in Liverpool who may not realise they absolutely have what it takes to be part of our panto company."

Musical director Rob Green added: “We’re looking for the usual keyboards, drums, guitar and bass guitar, but keen to meet performers who play alternative instruments such as clarinet and sax, plus beat boxers, loopers and violin.”

You can register your interest and send a tape at the theatre’s website here. Closing date is June 22 at 6pm. If you have an agent, send an email here
