Everybody! Jamie's back!

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie returns The Lowry in Salford from September 7-17 next year, launching a new UK tour.

Following its record-breaking week there in September 2021r, the theatre has been picked as the opening date for the tour. Other dates are still to be announced.

Lowry head of theatre Steve Cowton said: "Everybody's Talking About Jamie was one of the first shows we presented after Lockdown and it was wonderful to see audiences having such a brilliant time. This is very much a story of our time and it’s also a great night out, for all ages.”

Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Supported by his brilliant mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats bullies and steps into the spotlight. Casting is still to be determined.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie opened at the Sheffield Crucible in 2017 and transferred to the West End later that same year and until September 2021.

As well as winning five-star reviews it has grabbed eight major theatre awards, most recently Best Original Cast Recording at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
