Disney's hit Broadway and West End musical Aladdin lands at the Palace Theatre, Manchester (May 22-July 7, 2024), as part of its first UK tour. The tour will also visit the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford (August 14-September 1, 2024) and the Liverpool Empire (December 11, 2024-January 5, 2025)
Based on the animated film, the UK tour will star Yeukayi Ushe (The Lion King, A Strange Loop, Kinky Boots and Motown The Musical) as Genie and will introduce Gavin Adams as Aladdin – a recent Royal Academy of Music graduate making his professional debut in the title role.
"I remember when I first watched Disney's animated film of Aladdin as a child" says Yeukayi Ushe, "singing along to those timeless songs and watching Robin Williams in awe. Now I get to bring that brilliant, bold, and beloved genie to life on UK tour for the first time.”
The show has been seen by over 14 million people around the world. President of Disney Theatrical Productions Thomas Schumacher said: "We're thrilled the 11th production of the show will be seen by audiences throughout the UK and Ireland. Musical theatre performers in the UK and Ireland rival any on the planet and we look forward to presenting the best of them in this joyous new production."
