Liverpool's award-winning DaDa organisation is gearing up for launch of DaDaFest 2025 (March 8-31), which marks the disability and deaf arts-led organisation’s 40th anniversary and showcases the work of disabled, deaf and neurodivergent artists.

Around 90 per cent of the film presentations, performances, workshops and talks will be open to the public free. The festival also feature thought-provoking live theatre

Live Performance events include: artists Faith Bebbington and Janet Price's Pimp my Wheelchair, at Sefton Park Palm House (March 9-30). A special launch event will features crutches, chairs and hearing aids "pimped" with sculptures inspired by plants that have natural defence mechanisms that "rage" against attack.

Shooting From Below, at the Unity Theatre (March 21), is a work-in-progress from Midgitte Bardot (the alter ego of solo artist Tamm Williams). sharing a show that explores people’s attitudes to those with dwarfism.

Not All Your Circus Dogs (March 22, Unity Theatre), present Not F***ing Sorry, promising "shameless sexy punk cabaret".

An interactive performance from Dora Colquhoun (March 22, Bluecoat Garden) will see where the fictional National Bureau for Sitting will assess members of the public, to see whether they can take a seat in a very comfortable Chesterfield chair.

And Eat Me and Preach (March 28), isa collaboration between DaDa and Liverpool’s original drag dinner cabaret and club night, which promises a raucous evening of performance and protest.

Artist and performer Patrick Bannon and choreographer Alice Lapworth will host an open dance workshop at Open Eye Gallery to learn some of the moves in Movement Megaphone, followed by a one-off live performance (March 29).
