Claire Sweeney clocks-in 9 to 5

Claire Sweeney takes over from Louise Rednapp for the announced 2022 dates of hit Dolly Parton show

9 to 5 The Musical.

The show plays Manchester's Palace Theatre from March 1-5 – so far the last date on its UK tour.

With a television and theatre career that spans more than 20 years, Claire is probably still best known for playing Lindsey Corkhill in Brookside, though her other television credits include Clocking Off and she has been a panellist on ITV’s Loose Women. Her West End shows include Chicago and Guys and Dolls and she most recently appeared in the national tour of Crazy For You. Other theatre credits include Tell Me on a Sunday and Shirley Valentine

9 TO 5 The Musical is written by Patricia Resnick – the writer of the original movie – and has an original Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by music legend Dolly Parton. It tells the story of Doralee, Judy and Violet (the last of those played by Claire), who are three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist, egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on him, will the girls manage to reform their office, or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?
