Christmas selection box from Liverpool's Royal Court

The Royal Court Selection Box is the Liverpool theatre’s jump back into live theatre after six months of misery.

Tickets for the show - which runs from Nov 20-Jan 9 and offers an evening of comedy and music -  are on sale from today.

This year's show will be scaled-back and socially-distanced, but will offer typical panto fun.

To enable the theatre to employ as many actors as possible, the cast will change throughout the run, with half a dozen on stage each night.

The venue has put a wide range of safety plans in place to ensure public wellbeing, and has guaranteed refunds or exchanges to any ticketholder who later cancels due to Covid infection or if a performance is cancelled.

Kevin Fearon, executive producer at the venue, is looking forward to seeing audiences in the building again.

“After the year we’ve all had it is a real treat to know we are going to have an audience back in the building. We can’t wait to see all of the cast, crew and our regulars back enjoying themselves.

"Everybody has been really understanding. We have plans in place for more shows in the New Yoar, so if all goes well over Christmas we can look forward to a busy 2021!”
