CBeebies star for York pantomime

Jennie Dale, star of CBeebies Swashbuckle, joins the cast of this year’s Sleeping Beauty pantomime at York Theatre Royal (December 2-January 4). Jennie joins Robin Simpson, who will return as Dame.
Jennie - who will play Fairy Moonbeam - is best known for playing Captain Captain in the hugely-popular CBeebies TV series Swashbuckle and for presenting her show Jennie’s Fitness in 5 for CBeebies and CBBC. Her extensive West End theatre credits include Elf, The Pajama Game, Sister Act, The Lord of the Rings and Mary Poppins, and she has appeared in several CBeebies TV pantomimes, including most recently Beauty and the Beast, Robin Hood, Dick Whittington and his Cat and Christmas in Storyland.
The York show is written by Paul Hendy, directed by Juliet Forster and co-produced with award-winning Evolution Productions, the team behind previous York pantomimes All New Adventures of Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk and last year’s Aladdin.
