Final casting has been announced for The Regulars, the headline event of Hope Mill Theatre’s third annual Turn On Fest LGBTQIA+ festival.
The folk musical is being produced and developed by the theatre with music, lyrics and book by Will Shishmanian, a musical theatre composer, lyricist and singer-songwriter from New York, who also heads the cast.
The story of a guy from rural America in search of a new type of family, The Regulars will be seen as an afternoon and evening concert on January 29 before moving to a workshop production at Hope Mill in 2023.
The cast also features Aiesha Peas (Hadestown at the National Theatre and Priscilla Queen of the Desert UK tour); Natalie Paris (original cast Jane Seymour in Six, Olivier Award nomination); Idriss Kargbo (Boq in Wicked West End and Donkey in Shrek UK tour), Matthew Facchino, Teddy Hinde, Mark Lockhart, Amy Fleur, Jordan Walker and James Markham. The director is Hazel Jade.
Hope Mill Theatre will be collaborating with Trans Creative to double bill The Regulars with trans writing.
