Thwarted lovers Molly and Sam sing again from this month in a new UK tour of Ghost the Musical, taking in northern venues in Sunderland, Liverpool, Darlington and Bradford before a final leg of 2024 at Blackpool Opera House. The tour will continue well into 2025

Rebekah Lowings (The Sound of Music) and Jacqui Dubois (People, Places and Things) will reprise their roles as Molly Jenson and Oda Mae Brown, while Josh St Clair (Frozen) will star as Sam Wheat and James Mateo-Salt (Bonnie and Clyde) as Carl Bruner.

Joining them will be legendary entertainer and actor Les Dennis, playing the contrasting roles of the Hospital Ghost and Lionel Ferguson. Jules Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) will repeat his performance as Willie Lopez, and completing the cast will be Garry Lee (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as the Subway Ghost, Tanisha Butterfield as Clara, Keiahna Jackson-Jones as Louise, Molly Cleere as Mrs. Santiago/Bank Officer, Gabrielle Cummins as Officer Wallace, Olivia-Rose Deer as Susan/Ortisha, Wade Lewin as Orlando and Jamie Pritchard as Detective Biederman.

The movie Ghost, one of cinema’s most popular tragic romances, starred the late Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore as Sma and Molly, with Whoopi Goldberg as Oda Mae. Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his own screenplay for the stage musical, which premiered in Manchester in 2011 and has since been seen in the West End and on Broadway and on several international tours.
