A cast of seven will be rushing around the world in 80 days at Bolton this Christmas - led by a female Phileas Fogg.
Bolton Octagon's Christmas show is a new musical adaptation of Jules Verne classic Around The World In 80 Days (November 16-January 6).
Polly Lister (One Man, Two Guvnors and Hound of the Baskervilles, Octagon) will play the eccentric entrepreneur Lady Phileas Fogg.
She will be joined by Emma Fenney as Lady Eliza Sullivan; Rob Jackson as Sir John Sullivan; Darren Kuppan as Khatri; Charlotte Linighan as Felicity Fanshaw and Kai Spellman as Passepartout. Completing the cast will be Olivia Chandler, making her professional debut.
Wealthy and eccentric entrepreneur Lady Phileas Fogg makes a bet that she can travel around the world in 80 days in the days before high-speed ships, planes and cars, so surely it can’t be done? With her entire fortune on the line, Phileas sets off from London in a wild dash across the globe.
The adaptation is by Kate Ferguson and Susannah Pearse, the writers of the Octagon’s successful productions of A Christmas Carol and Treasure Island. The director will be Kash Arshad.
