Could you be the fairest of them all? St Helens Theatre Royal is searching for the perfect Snow White to star in its Christmas pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Regal Entertainments Ltd, which stages the venue's multiple pantomimes each year, is holding open auditions from 10 am tomorrow (July 12) for talented performers based in the region aged 16 or older. The successful Snow White will join the cast for the show from November 30- January 12.

Would-be panto heroines must be able to act, sing and dance and be available for rehearsals from November 18. Applicants will be required to perform a ballad and an up-tempo song of their choice and also a monologue, which will be emailed in advance.

Regal is run by mother and daughter duo Jane Joseph and Chantelle Nolan, who produce drama, comedy and four pantomimes a year – at February half-term, Easter, Christmas and the October half-term.

Chantelle said: “We know there are lots of hugely-talented actors right across the city region and we want to be able to give someone the chance to become the ‘fairest of them all’ this Christmas.

“We’re looking for a triple-threat performer – one equally brilliant at acting, singing and dancing. We welcome applications from actors of all backgrounds."

Female actors interested in auditioning for the role of Snow White should register for a time-slot by emailing chantelle@sthelenstheatreroyal.co.uk.
