A dark and stormy night at Oldham Coliseum

One time Blue Peter presenter turned musicals star and Olivier award nominee, Peter Duncan, arrives at Oldham Coliseum for Hallowee'n time in - what else but - a ghost story.

When Darkness Falls (October 25-29) stars Peter Duncan and Daniel Rainford and is a hopefully thrilling addition to the ghost story genre by James Milton and Paul Morrissey (the latter also the director) that delivers a twisted tale that according to the Guardian, will “leave you cowering in your seat.”

The show premiered in London last year and is now on a longer tour.

On a stormy night on Guernsey, a young paranormal expert joins a sceptical history teacher to record the first in a series of podcasts based on the island’s incredible folklore and paranormal history.

As the expert regales his horrifying stories, the teacher learns we all have our own stories about ghosts that haunt us, and the past, present and future are brought together in unexpected ways. Ways that can threaten to unsettle everything we think we know... The play is apparently inspired by true events and draws us into dark pasts and disturbing truths.
